We’re honored to welcome Matthew Crist as the newest member of Sounding Joy’s Board of Directors, bringing a powerful combination of professional expertise and personal passion to our mission.

Matt is a shareholder at the McIntyre Thanasides law firm in Tampa, representing individuals and families affected by serious injuries or wrongful deaths in cases involving automobile and commercial vehicle collisions, unsafe consumer products, and public space injuries. His work has earned recognition from Super Lawyers and Florida Trend’s Legal Elite, and been featured in the Tampa Bay Times and on NBC’s Today Show. He also holds the prestigious “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell—its highest distinction for legal skill and ethical standards, as judged by peers and members of the judiciary.

In addition to his legal accomplishments, Matt has been a committed leader in the professional community, serving on the Florida Justice Association’s Young Lawyer Section Board of Directors and participating in the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Leadership Institute. He has also given back locally as a mentor in Plant High School’s Connect Mentoring Program.

Matt’s connection to Sounding Joy began several years ago after hearing our founder speak at an event. Inspired by the work we do, he became a dedicated supporter—attending events, contributing generously, and looking for ways to get more involved. His personal “why” is his daughter Juliette, who wears a hearing aid and inspires his commitment to helping children with hearing loss thrive.

Matt lives in Tampa with his family and is excited to serve on our Board, helping Sounding Joy expand its reach and impact.

Welcome, Matt! We’re grateful for your heart, your voice, and your vision for what’s possible.
