Meet Matthew Crist, Director

Matt is a shareholder at with the McIntyre Thanasides law firm in Tampa. He represents people and their family members who have been seriously injured or killed in cases involving automobile and commercial vehicle collisions, unsafe consumer products, and injuries in public places. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers and Florida Trend’s Legal Elite, with work featured in the Tampa Bay Times and on NBC’s Today Show. He has also earned the prestigious “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell—its highest distinction—signifying exceptional legal skill and the utmost ethical standards, as rated by fellow attorneys and judges.

In addition to his legal practice, Matt has been active in the professional community, serving on the Florida Justice Association’s Young Lawyer Section Board of Directors and participating in the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Leadership Institute. Matt also served as a mentor with Plant High School’s Connect Mentoring Program.

Matt’s connection to Sounding Joy began when he heard our founder speak at an event several years ago. Inspired by our mission, he became a dedicated supporter—attending events, contributing generously, and seeking ways to get more involved. His personal “why” is his daughter Juliette, who wears a hearing aid and inspires his commitment to helping children with hearing loss thrive.

Matt lives in Tampa with his family and is honored to serve on Sounding Joy’s Board of Directors, bringing both his professional expertise and personal passion to advance our mission.
