Sounding Joy is honored to announce a $24,500 grant from The White Family Foundation to support the organization’s mission of providing hearing aids, accessories, and services to children whose families cannot afford them.
The White Family Foundation has been a cornerstone of Tampa Bay philanthropy for over a decade, investing in nonprofit organizations that address critical educational, healthcare, and religious needs of children and families throughout the region. Founded by Joe and JoAnn White on the principle that philanthropy is a partnership between giver and receiver, the Foundation exemplifies the power of consistent, strategic charitable giving to create lasting community impact.
The grant will support Sounding Joy’s efforts to provide hearing aids and services to children in the Tampa Bay area. Research shows that when children receive hearing aids, they experience improved academic outcomes, stronger social connections, and better long-term mental health and wellbeing. Since its founding in 2021, Sounding Joy has provided hearing aids to over 100 children in the region.
The White Family Foundation’s mission is to make a positive difference in the state of Florida by supporting qualified education, healthcare, and religious needs of families and individuals. By providing funding to local organizations, the Foundation makes positive changes to people’s lives and builds and enhances the community in which they live.
