Sounding Joy is honored to receive a $7,500 donation from the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) Sarasota Chapter. This gift will help provide hearing aids, accessories, and support services for children in Tampa Bay whose families cannot afford them—opening doors to confidence, connection, and lifelong success.

For many families, the cost of hearing aids creates an impossible barrier. This support helps us reach children who fall into the financial gap: families who don’t qualify for government assistance but still can’t afford the $2,000–$6,000 cost of pediatric hearing aids.

Founded in 1979 by World War II veteran Howard E. “Rocky” Stone, who lost his hearing at age 19, HLAA has become the nation’s leading organization dedicated to opening the world of communication for people with hearing loss. Through education, support, and advocacy, HLAA’s nationwide network of local chapters works to improve access to hearing health care, technology, and resources.

The HLAA Sarasota Chapter provides community support, educational programs, and advocacy that helps individuals with hearing loss thrive while expanding access to care across the region.

We’re deeply grateful to HLAA Sarasota for their generosity and shared mission. Together, we’re ensuring more children can hear every lesson, laugh, and moment that matters.
