Meet John Cruickshank, Treasurer
John is the President and Principal Consultant of Level One Consulting, Inc. and serves as Treasurer on Sounding Joy’s Executive Committee. He is also a Partner in the Florida CFO Group, which provides fractional and interim CFO services to a wide range of businesses.
He is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and brings over 30 years of global financial leadership to the Board. John began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Edinburgh and has since held CFO roles in a range of public companies, family-owned businesses, and private equity portfolio operations across the UK, Europe, Canada, and the United States.
Throughout his career, John has led initiatives across Finance, IT, and HR, with additional responsibilities spanning operations, logistics, supply chain, sales & marketing, and manufacturing. He also previously served as Chief Internal Auditor for a publicly traded company, where he gained deep expertise in internal controls and compliance.
John is a member of Financial Executives International and Chartered Accountants Worldwide.
Originally from Scotland, John now resides in the Tampa Bay area. He is passionate about using his experience to support mission-driven organizations, and is honored to help guide the financial future of Sounding Joy.
