Sounding Joy is excited to announce we’ve been awarded $2,800 through the iHeartRadio Charity Challenge, powered by Suncoast Credit Union, after winning the December competition with 56% of the vote.
The iHeartRadio Charity Challenge is a monthly listener-powered competition supported by iHeartRadio, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Suncoast Credit Union. Each month, two local nonprofits compete for a share of a $5,000 donation pool. Listeners vote online to determine the split—the nonprofit with more votes receives the larger portion, while both organizations benefit from community support.
This $2,800 will go toward hearing aids and services for children in Tampa Bay, helping families who are struggling to afford the care their kids need to succeed.
Community engagement makes our work possible. Every vote in this challenge represented someone who believes children deserve to hear clearly and reach their full potential—and together, those votes are funding real, life-changing impact.
We’re grateful to Suncoast Credit Union for powering this initiative, to iHeartRadio and WDAE for amplifying local nonprofit voices, and to every single person who took the time to vote for Sounding Joy.
Your support is helping more children hear the world around them—and that’s something worth celebrating.
