Sounding Joy announces a charitable gift of $12,500 from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation. The funds will be used to buy hearing aids and services for children in the Tampa Bay area. This award will help Sounding Joy buy hearing aids and services for up to 7 children.

“We are thrilled to receive this generous award from Suncoast Credit Union,” expressed Christy Vogel, Executive Director of Sounding Joy. “These funds will not only help us buy hearing aids for children but will also help reduce addiction and suicide attempt rates in the children who receive them.”

Suncoast Credit Union, Florida’s largest credit union, founded the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to promote the education, health and emotional well-being of children in the community. Each time a Suncoast member uses their debit or credit card, the credit union donates two cents to the Foundation to fund local initiatives. Since its inception in 1990, the Foundation has raised and donated over $55 million.

“Allowing children the tools needed to address the hurdles of life is what our Suncoast mission is all about,” says Jeff Kunberger, Executive Director of Suncoast Foundations. “Helping children address their hearing aids and services can preserve and promote a healthy future that all children deserve,” he added.
