Recently, Sounding Joy Founder & Executive Director Christy Vogel had the honor of speaking at the Rotary Club of Pinellas Park, sharing her personal journey of growing up with untreated hearing loss—and how it shaped her mission to help other children gain access to hearing aids.
Christy spoke about the emotional and developmental toll of hearing loss and shared eye-opening statistics: children without hearing aids are five times more likely to struggle with addiction and twice as likely to attempt suicide.
