Meet Gary Mills,
Director
Gary has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years. In 1988, he began his career as a claims adjuster shortly after graduating from the University of Florida. In his quest to become more knowledgeable and experienced in the field, he went on to handle claims in various states, from California to the Midwest and Southeast. After numerous relocations across the country, he was able to finally return to his home state of Florida in 1996.
In 2005, Gary founded Mills Mehr & Associates (MMA) which handles claims and appraisals throughout Florida. Assembling one of the best teams in the adjusting industry, Gary spearheaded the expansion of MMA in 2007 to include Delegated Claims Administration for the Lloyd’s of London insurance market. Under his steerage, MMA is now one of the most highly regarded U.S. Delegated Claims Administrators in the Lloyd’s market.
Throughout the years, Gary has volunteered countless hours of his time coaching kids in various sports as well as being a Mentor for several years at local Pinellas County schools. In 2003, Gary was named the Outstanding Adult Volunteer of the year for McMullen Booth Elementary School.
Gary now enjoys living in the Downtown St. Pete area with his wife, Cheryl. They love to travel frequently and spend time with their grown children, Abby, and Drew. Gary is also known to make a mean latte.
